Does Universal Studios have a gift card?

DD and BF are returning in January and I'd love to give them gift cards for Christmas or B'day's. Does Universal have a gift card like the Disney gift card or something similar (not a prepaid Visa, MasterCard, Amex)?

Yes they do! I bought one for someone last month at our local grocery store. They came in $25 and $50.

When I went to use it in a store at a park they said "no". I had to take it to guest relations and exchange it for "Universal dollars", then go back to the store and pay with them. It was a waste of at least 1/2 hr in line. This was last summer, so not sure if policy has changed.

This is very good to know! I was going to pick up a few at our local grocery for dd to use on our upcoming trip, knowing it would take time to exchange for Universal dollars makes me think twice though.

I wouldn't fool with the gift cards at Universal...they are a pain and can not be used at the stores and restaurants. You have to exchange them for Universal dollars at Guest Services. You would be better off getting a VISA or AMEX gift card so you can use them anywhere.

i bought some years back and never have used them.

i can't bear to depart with 'em.

they are in my sock drawer at home.
i sleep better at night knowing they are safe..


on the other hand, i still have disney dollars from 1993 that i will never use.


it is the novelty for kids to have the park $$.

DS got a Universal gift card for Christmas. We are only going for one day - next Saturday. I planned to use the gift card to pay for part of his entrance into IOA. Can I use the gift card at a guest relations when buying the tickets or do I have to switch for Universal dollars before?
