If so, how do I book it? I checked online and it didn't give me the option of AAA rate. Thanks! Also, I saw on the Universal website that you can buy a preferred annual pass for $190. Is it worth it if only for the hotel discount? Will the AP rate be significantly lower than the AAA rate? Thanks!

To answer your first question - yes they do offer AAA rates. I got mine via Phone reservation

The AP rate when offered is significantly cheaper than "rack rates" ($140/night vs $260++++/night)

FI & I are going from 3/11 to 3/14 which does not have an AP rate (curses!!!) so I had to go with the AA rate, which is $242/night as apposed to $269/night. Weekends are more expensive

Hope this helps - I'm sure someone has more in-depth info they can share with you

It should be listed on the website- let me find it

edit: I think the website is down? Anyway - if/when it ever comes back up - look under the hotels section & there should be a reservations number

Thanks , i'll look for it. We're going at the end of august. I'm hoping there are some good AAA rates or AP discounts that will justify the purchase. It's only $190 and I might as well do flex pay since there is no interest charged.

Also - food for thought, the renewal rate on that AP is only $99!!!

also FYI - this is the number 1-888-273-1311.

So you all know....

AAA rates do not show up when checking rates....you need to go to the AAA website OR call.... :thumbsup2

and it depends when you go - I called and checked the website and there were no AP or AAA Discounts in July for any of the three onsite hotels!

correct....when they release AAA rates, they go pretty quick....they only block off "x" amount of rooms at that rate....

I've heard that AAA rates aren't available online, but they do come up for me when I try them on the Universal site. (?) The regular seasonal rate for my dates (June 29-July 1) is $259 at RPR, and when I put AAA in the code box, it comes up at $220 and lists AAA as the rate. My phone reservation for these dates was $219.30 with AAA, so it is the same rate. I'd get an AP if the rate was better, but it's still not yet. I don't know if the AP rates go down closer to the trip or not. It's still higher than the AAA rate.
