Does Universal do anything special for Halloween?

We're going to Disney in October and planning on hopping over to Universal. We've never been so we have no clue what special things they do, or what characters we'll get to see and get autographs from.

so has anyone been during october?

They have Halloween Horror Nights, which requires a whole separate ticket and begins at night. I don't know how best to describe it other than it has scare houses and, well, here's a video of what it's like...

They have normal park operations during the day

HHN is definately not for kids. You might want to check out the Halloween Spooktacular at SeaWorld...it's included with your park admission and it's strictly for kids.

No, it's definitely not for kids. That's why there is a disclaimer on the HHN website indicating "not recommended for children under the age of 13"
