Hawaiian Air now rents these new digi-dvd players on their flights. It costs $10 and has dozens of movies for all ages, news articles, music, etc. on it. I was wondering if anyone knows if United (or other carriers for that matter) have anything similar and what the cost is?

TIA!

I haven't seen anything like that, but most major airports have DVD player rentals. You can rent a player and a movie and return it at the next airport.

I've never seen a dvd rental on United or US Airways. They do have earphone rentals in coach/economy class on longer flights when a movie is being shown. In first/business, the earphones are free or have their own individual screens. Any rental would obviously have to be only on flights 4 hours+.

I have also seen the dvd player rentals in lots of airports.
