Does trash & towel service refresh toiletries?

We have rented DVC points for a 5-night stay at VGF in a 1BR.

I'd considered paying for daily housekeeping but now think I'll just pay for daily trash and towel service.

Will that include replenishment of coffee/bathroom toiletries?

Yes it should, housekeeping often needs a poke to provide the service that you are entitled to.

Is coffee supposed to be replaced when they do trash and towel day? Toiletries we get, but usually not coffee.

Yes you should receive coffee, creamer, sugar, dish soap, and laundry soap if in a 1 bedroom or larger.

In general, I don't remember getting coffee with the condiment packs in studios or 1 bedrooms. My next stays are in studios, but in September I'll be in larger villas, I'll be sure to note what we get!

This is from the Member Web site. If they don't do what they are supposed to call Housekeeping and complain. Then follow up with Member Satisfaction. It's the only way things will improve.

Trash & Towel Service
For stays of 7 nights or fewer, Trash & Towel Service is provided on day 4, regardless of whether you're staying on a Member-discounted cash reservation, Vacation Points reservation, or a combination of both.

With Trash & Towel Service, Housekeeping will:

  • Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins
  • Provide fresh bathroom linens
  • Replace bath amenities as needed
  • Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper
  • Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners

Additional Trash & Towel Service Rates:
  • Deluxe Studio: $15 per day requested
  • 1-Bedroom Villa: $20 per day requested
  • 2-Bedroom Villa: $25 per day requested
  • 3-Bedroom Grand Villa: $35 per day requested

Pay As You Play
With Pay As You Play service, you'll be provided with the following amenities at no extra charge at the start of your stay and during each Housekeeping service. After that, you may purchase more amenities for the following fees (fees are subject to change):

  • Toiletries Package: $5 - includes 1 facial soap, 1 bath soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 shower gel
  • Coffee Package: $3 - includes 1 package of coffee, 8 sugars, 8 creamers, 8 artificial sweeteners
  • Towel Package: $6 - includes 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 washcloths, 1 bath mat
  • Laundry Detergent (only in 1-, 2- and 3-Bedroom Villas): $1 - includes 1 box for 1 load of laundry
NOTE: Rates are subject to change without notice.

I think the important terms are "replaced as needed" and "replenished". So, if they still see the old stuff around, you will not get more.

They are supposed to but to be honest out last trip they didn't. Not at SSR where they didn't even replenish the toilet roll without me phoning, not at Kidani and not at VGF

Now I didn't push it because we bring our own so I don't know if they would have if I had complained

That's the same with the cash Disney hotel bookings-if they see you haven't used the coffee, toiletries, etc they don't replace them (in my experience)

I sometimes may have a can of coffee and filters on the counter, so maybe that's why Indo not get another pack. I had to call down once for TP. It was at BLT during a very busy holiday period.

Often housekeeping has just left the towels and a plastic bag with soap on the table or in a plastic hamper depending on the resort. I don't remember coffee being included so maybe they want you to ask for it.

We use the coffee, often have our own out too and have always had it replenished without asking. But if we had not used it I don't see any reason to expect them to add to the amount. Replace and replenish both indicate you will be given some if you've used some. The thoroughness of your housekeeper may vary but that is what should happen. Decaf vs regular has not always been consistent though.

Can't say we've ever had it left in a bag either although I think we might have had the bag left in the room on our last stay at BWV. :)

With daily housekeeping I would agree. But if you still have half a bar of soap left, you might still need some more during the next 4 days until you get the next housekeeping service. But I have learned my lesson: Everything that I want to be replaced gets hidden away in a drawer. :rolleyes1

Bars of soap - if open we've had housekeeping leave new ones. The things that I think they may not look at too closely is bottles of shampoo etc if they are still sitting where they are normally placed. I did not mean that if any of it was left that it wouldn't be replenished, just that if you hadn't used any then it doesn't make sense to get additional.

Yes, I understand what you meant! :goodvibes I was just trying to point out to people who read this thread that one's success in getting new things might be better when it is clearly visible that new stuff is needed.
