Does Touring Plans Post Incorrect Crowd Levels for Non-Members on Purpose?

I've had a TP subscription in the past but just never really found it worth it. Though I did find their crowd levels to be pretty accurate.

But I was just looking at our dates for our upcoming trip the weekend before July 4th, and they seem to be WAAAAY off. I just expected every day would be a 9 or 10. 8 At least.

Instead, they have every day as either a 6 or a 7. In fact, they show every day as a 6 or 7 for all of the 30 days they currently show for free. I know this can't be correct. Has TP just gotten that bad, or do they do this on purpose for some reason?

Over the last several years summer crowds have been much lower. Last year over the 4th it was VERY empty for the holiday. I would expect the 7 to be about as accurate as can be based on the last few years. Relatively speaking Oct. and other times that used to frequently be less crowded now exceed summer crowd levels.

I have a paid subscription to TP and I have the same numbers for the first week of July as you.

The numbers are projections. There isn't any reasonable explanation why an established, ethical company like Touring Plans would provide different information to different levels of customer.

I have had a Touring Plans subscription for several years and half the time they are off by maybe 1 over or 1 under on their crowd level. They have been pretty accurate for me. There was one day at MK they predicted an 8 that ended up a 10.
With so many changes going on lately I would say it may be really hard to predict the crowds. I have just kind of gave up on the crowd calendars this year with all the changes and have just based my days on the extra magic hours.
I myself would hate to try to predict the crowds here lately with all the new things that are opening and going on.
Disney sure is mixing things up a bit.
