Does this still happen at the Polynesian?

We have always been checked on the Fourth of July and believe me they need to, it was a zoo. People took chairs from patios, carried them from the quiet pool to the beach and generally just made a huge mess. It took the staff, most of the next day to clean up the mess. The beach looked like a venue after a rock concert and was not usable by anyone that day. We did not get our patio furniture back until the next day or have chairs to use at the quiet pool. Was that fair. :confused3
I was looking at some old threads and I remember that quote and it got me wondering if that really happens at the Polynesian or was it a one time thing? If that does happen from time to time when my parents and I stay there this December, I would not be disappointed if we got a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

As far as I can tell, the OP there is talking about how crazy things are there during the 4th of July...people all over looking for a place to sit and get a good view of the fireworks...

I've always been on the 3rd floor, but I've never seen anyone's table/chairs moved or used by nayone else.

Now the pool is crowded during the day, but not destroyed by any means.

I prefer a 3rd floor room for view and a balcony....but I'm pretty sure this quote is simply talking about the madness of July 4

Cheers,
Josh

That is what I thought so let's hope that was a one time thing only.

I'd guess thats the case...I've stayed there several times and never seen it happen on a busy summer day.

I was however at the GF during July 4th in 2001, that was insane...I don't know how bad it was, but there were people sitting everywhere to see the fireworks.

Cheers,
Josh

I have never seen that happen at the Polynesian, except during special holiday fireworks.

When we were there last week everything was very orderly on the beach. All the guests were very polite. I didn't see any chairs or tables missing from any of the patios near the pool. As a matter of fact, I was very surprised when after the fireworks, most of the guests put their towels in the towel bin and put their chairs back on the pool deck.:)

My first time at the Poly was on July 4th and it was CRAZY! I wanted to leave it was that bad. Every trip after that was great (never July 4th again). It is just the holiday.
