Never been so I am not sure if I am packing too uch into the day

1) Castaway Cay Cabana Massage 10:00AM 10:50AM for DW while I take care of the girls.

2) Glass Bottom Boat Scenic Voyage 11:15AM 12:45PM for everyono.

3) Parasailing 3:00PM 4:00PM for DD 11 and myself

4) Snorkel Lagoon Equipment Rental Anytime we are able.

5) Lunch sometime between 1:00 and 3:00.

I get tired just writing about it.

Maybe book the Massage later in the day (or on ship while you give the kids a bath) :goodvibes
The oil mixture is hard to get off and re-apply sunscreen making some folks burn plus she can relax after wards, and not have to rush around.

That seems like way too much running around on the island not enough time to enjoy the day. From the looks of your times, you would get about 30-60 minutes of snorkel time. Also, the lunch buffet usually closes down around 2:00, so that leaves you even less time for lunch than you are planning.
Check the check-in time for the glass bottom boat tour, your DW might not make it in time for check-in since the caban massages are on the other side of the island and she might not want to rush over there after having a relaxing massage - defeats the purpose of the relaxing part of a massage. Not to mention the fact, what happens if the massage runs a bit longer than timed?

I have to agree with JillJill. We too had too much scheduled last time and I want to book another cruise just so I can lay on serenity beach; what's that like? Hope you enjoy whatever you decide.

This is what I would schedule:

9:00-11:00 Snorkel with family
11:00-1:00 Glass Bottom Boat Scenic Voyage
1:00-2:00 Lunch at Cookie's BBQ
2:00-3:00 Swim at family beach/relax
3:00-4:00 Parasail w/DD11 (DW stays with other child(ren) at family beach)
4:00 Meet up and return back to ship.

As a pp stated, CC massages don't always work out and she could get one while back on the ship while you take care of the girls. No matter what you decide, you will have a great time!

This sounds about right conidering we have Palo at 6:00. So when should I book her massage?

If you have Palo at six, I would have DW bring the other girl(s) back a little early while you and DD11 go parasailing. She can have the girl(s) go to the club and schedule the massage from 4:00-4:50. This leaves time for her to get ready for the evening. :goodvibes

That sounds much better! We just sit on the beach and relax at CC. It is a great way to both start and end a cruise. :) The DCL online booking system won't allow you to book things that are so close in time either so logistically your original plan would have had conflicts. It sounds much more relaxed now. :)

I think you are right it sounds much better now. I did however have everything booked as posted, so I guess in theory there was time. I get bored at beaches just laying around, but thats me not DW. LOL

I would skip the glass bottom boat tour. We did one in Nausau last time (kids ages 2.5, 5, and 8) and they hated it. Now, if you really want to take a boat ride, then it would be fine. I am not a sit on the beach type either, but it was nice to just walk around Castaway and my 5 year old loved the kids club on the island. We had a great time, didn't even snorkel and planned nothing. Granted it was Feb, so the warm weather in itself was wonderful/

Did the glass bottom boat last year and it wasn't very inspiring. We threw a bunch of oatmeal in the water for the fish to eat but there were no coral formations to see and no colorful tropical fish. Personally - I would ax it if I were you. Also don't forget the massages are all the way to Serenity Bay - that is a second tram ride - so your hour massage ends up using up 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. I would do that on the ship if i were you.

I concur with skipping the glass bottom boat tour. I did the one on Castaway Cay and was unimpressed. I am, however, a big fan of the CC Cabana Massage, so if your wife can work it in, I'd definitely do it.

If I were going to pay for a massage, I wouldn't schedule it when I had a million things to do that day. I'd want to chill out and relax afterwards.

I think the original schedule is WAY too full for anyone to enjoy it. The second schedule posted looks MUCH better. Do the massage another day, or do it after you get back home (what a way to extend the vacation feeling!)

Can you do this, yes. Do you want to, probably not. On our last trip we overbooked ourselves on Casaway Cay, and didn't do as much as you have planned. We did the couples massage at 10:00, which was great. It may be a few dollars more than on the boat, but worth every penny. Then we ate lunch and snorkeled. We didn't have much time to snorkel because we had a 2:ish glass bottom boat tour. Then we wrote some post cards and were among the last on the boat. I love Castaway Cay, and will not schedule myself that way again. You can probably do a glass bottom boat or parasailing at another port of call, or you can have a massage on the boat. Just my opinion. Enjoy!!!

How about this:::

9:00-11:00 Snorkel with family
11:00-1:00 Explore the Island
1:00-2:00 Lunch at Cookie's BBQ
2:00-3:00 Parasail w/DD11 (DW stays with other child(ren) at family beach)
3:00-4:00 Send DW back to the ship for a Vista Spa Massage and stay with the girls until Igo back to the ship.

Sounds like a plan to me. A little bit of something special for everyone and some time just to play as a family. Keep things loose you might want to eat before you explore. The two hours in the water may make you and the kids hungry and you may be ready for a break before you walk around the island. What ever you end up doing enjoy! You will be in the most magical spot on the planet.

That seems like a good plan. I have not really read any good reports on the glass-bottom boat tours and from what you say, exploring the island may be the way to go. Since you plan on snorkeling and exploring the island, you might want to look into the Castaway Cay Getaway Package. It is $32 per adult, and $16 per child.

A description from the DCL website:

Get in on all the fun under the sun for one convenient rate! This three-in-one rental package includes snorkel equipment for the day, a float or tube rental for the day, and a bicycle rental for one hour — the perfect way to complement your day in paradise.

Beginners and experts alike are invited to snorkel in the Bahamian blue amidst tropical fish in the 20- acre snorkel lagoon located at Family Beach. Take the beginner or discover trail and explore the marine habitat including some underwater surprises.

Next, enjoy some relaxation time floating atop an inflatable float or inner tube as you bask in the sun and enjoy this tropical oasis.

Finally, enjoy a tour of the majestic tropical island of Castaway Cay by bike and discover a myriad of hidden treasures.

Have a great cruise!

Maybe because we have 4 DDs but

we spent the day on the family beach. Different ones came and went. DH and I have never seen Serenity Bay.

We head way down to the far end and enjoy ourselves. I don't care to snorkel there (a bit fake) so DH took different ones out and I read a book and drank CCs.

I enjoyed it more the second time than the first.:beach:
