Does this mean no more Med or Baltic Cruises

A thread was started yesterday that has dates for the 2012 cruises.

The HI cruise is a 15-night roundtrip from LA with the obligatory foreign port stop in Ensenada to cover the Jones Act. It will have about 4 days of Sea Days each way.

Personally, I'm thrilled. We were considering taking our Anniversary cruise on the Wonder from Vancouver to Alaska next year. Now we can take that same trip, but conveniently leave from Seattle!

Although, that 15-day cruise to Hawaii is TEMPTING ...

I'm not a DCL-only cruiser, and I'm looking forward to a Med cruise on Celebrity in 2012. (I'm also going on a Transatlantic cruise in 3 weeks on Princess.) So far DCL's Europe itineraries have either been outrageously priced (2010 Baltic cruises), or they dropped the price too late in the game after I made alternate plans (April-May 2010 Med cruises).

:thumbsup2
We will be keeping our fabulous Eastern Med and Greek Isles itinerary on the Celebrity Silhouette summer of 2012 too.

I may book one of the Sept. 5 night Canada cruises if the price is right for me and my 3 DDs.

I am also very disappointed that the Magic will not be in Europe in 2012, although I was hoping for a repeat of the Baltic itinerary. We are booked on the June 18 Med on the Magic for this summer. Oh well...like others, I will just hope for a return of the European itineraries in future years. In the meantime, I think this means we are looking at an ABD to Ireland for summer 2012. I, too, am in the camp of not being at all excited by Caribbean itineraries out of NY or Galveston. A Canadian cruise could be interesting, but a 5-day cruise with only 2 ports is just not worth the cross-country trip from CA.

totally bummed about Europe as I am not interested in sailing the Caribbean at all.

I liked the 11 day Med I went on last year so much, I wanted to do that again this year. Problem is that they are offering 7 and 10 days out of Barcelona. It just isnt worth it to me to spend alot on the air fair to just stay 7 days. I guess its back to Princess for Europe next year (yuk!) or we may try Carnival in Europe.

:guilty:

They are offering the 11 night sailing again. We are doing it on June 18th.

Count me in as another one dissapointed in no Baltic next year. No Mickey for me in 2012. So very sad!

When they cut the August Meds this summer from 10/11 nights to 7 nights we decided to add time in Europe before & after the 7 night cruise to make the airfare cost more worthwhile. We're sandwiching the cruise in-between a few days in Paris & time in Barcelona after the cruise for a total of 15 nights. :thumbsup2 We're looking at it as if we were doing a longer cruise we probably couldn't have added the time in Paris onto the trip. Now we'll be able to cross another Disney Park off our "to do" list! :thumbsup2
