was told today that the only possible way to get free dining was to switch dates which is impossible, or to book port orleans for $800 more. which would make our week at almost $3200.not counting mvmcp tickets $232. for 3 adults, 1 child and infant. told them if I wanted to pay that much more i would have booked at a high price resort.still also have rental car and gas yet. I have never spent that much on food, way to much for me. can never catch a break

For that price, you would be better off to keep your current hotel and buy the dining plan.

If you figure 2 adults (37.99 each) and one child (9.99) it comes out at 85.97 per night, multipled by 7 nights for a total of 601.79.

What are your dates? It may be that free dining is already sold out on those dates at the value resorts, hence the need to switch to POR.

OP: you should play around with your dates. That is, try shorten it one day in the front or back. Then check for availability. You'd be surprised. And if that's the case, then book a room only for that extra day. Tix should be no problem specially at the end.

And if it's on the front, some say getting the tickets rom the package ahead of time is double (hard but doable).

You need to get a good CM that can try all the different options and resorts you would be interested in.
