Does this amount sound right?

Ok, first of all, have to say I've been stupid up to this point and not even paid attention to what the room was costing per night... had looked it up online and also called Disney, and was quoted the same price for a package, so figured it was right.

But this morning for the heck of it, i was breaking everything down and it looks as if I'm possibly being overcharged.

I'm staying Nov 28th through Dec 6th (8 nights), at POR, and was quoted $1400 for a room-only ressie... I then made it a package, with dining, and the total came to 3234.64.... with the room being $1400, dining costing 768.64, and tickets costing 1066... so that total to me seemed correct.

But I had written down what the original CM had quoted me back when I made the room-only reservation, as to what the room is costing me per night, and it looks as if they're charging me a holiday rate the entire time I'm there.

I know its supposed to be $175/night for the first 2 nights we're there, but then after that supposedly its supposed to drop down to $149/night. The amount I was paying though ($1400) came to $175 for all 8 nights of our stay.

Does this seem right? Or are they accidently charging me holiday rates for the entire time I'm there? Just seems odd to me that looking it up online quotes me the same price.

Edited to add: Last month when the codes came out I did call and get the code applied, knocking $500 off our amount, but if they're charging me holiday rates, I should be getting approx. $150 less than what they're charging me now.

Here is our breakdown for POR Nov 30-Dec 6: 2 adults/2 children ages 10 & 6 so the 10 year old pays adult prices on tickets and food.

1065-6 day hoppers
743.76 dining plan
685.66 POR room
2494.42 total packge cost:cool1:

Could they have possibly added vacation insurance to the package? I believe that runs about $113. Also, did you figure in room tax in your calculations? That can sometimes throw the $$ off a bit.

Ok, thanks for that breakdown... If I remember right, you used the code that just came out a few weeks ago also... so it looks as if you're paying about $114 per night (for 6 nights)... I broke ours down after the code, and it looks like we're paying about $112 per night, so guess we're being charged about the same amount.

It's just strange that without the code, ours was $1400 for the 8 nights, which equaled $175 per night.. I know that's probably the correct rate for the thanksgiving weekend, but thought we should have gotten a cheaper rate after that.

Oh well, can't complain about $112, lol.

I had them take off any insurance, and not sure about the taxes, but was thinking it should've been $149/night (after the weekend), but it figured out to be $175 per night originally, so that'd be a heck of a tax rate, lol.
