does the villa really include EVERYTHING we will need?

We bring a flat, square skillet for pancakes and omlets plus a plastic spatula. We don't like doing those types of foods in the round skillets with sides which they have in the kitchen. We also bring our own cork screw devise (a rabbit).

The only things I have found that we need are coffee and coffee filters because they don't give you enough and WDW coffee is terrible.

We also bring along extra laundry detergent. I sign up for free samples and save them all year to bring to WDW with us, any extras get stuck in the OL for next time.

:confused3
Perhaps VGC is different from the others but they charged us $1 per pack of extra dishwashing detergent. For a 5 night stay they had left us 2 packs, and we like to run dishes every night so they're all clean when we get up in the morning. The following year we brought our own Cascade packs. Or maybe Mousekeeping is just inconsistent?

Did not ask for the liquid dish soap and we always bring our own liquid laundry detergent as we prefer our own brand/type so we have not requested more laundry detergent boxes.

Yes. VGC is different. I was shocked when I asked for more dishwashing detergent and was told I would be charaged. Have have stayed in WDW DVC resorts for 12 years now, and our first stay at VGC was the first time we had ever been charged for anything like that.

You would think that all DVC resorts would be the same on everything, but California is different.

We were at VGC for a week in January and were not charged for the extra dishwasher detergent we requested from Housekeeping.

The two or three trips that we requested additional dishwashing detergent at VGC, we were told there was a $1 charge. I ended up just leaving the dishes dirty in the dishwasher. I figured if they couldn't give me the supplies, I would let them deal with the dishes that I was going to get washed and put away. I would think that their Mousekeepers time would be worth more to them than the $1 they would be getting for the detergent.

Thanks for posting RweTHEREyet! Its good to know its not just me that the VGC is charging for extra dishwashing detergent! :rotfl: Otherwise I would have worried that Mousekeeping had some sort of strange discrimination policy about charging for certain extra supplies to some people and not others!

We use the tote bag now that DVC gave us for buying direct to tote the extra stuff we like to bring: our own laundry detergent, our own dishwashing packs, toys for the parks, mouse ears, and a whisk (though I've been told one can request a whisk we've never found it in the villa and its easier to bring our own), and now I will add a pizza cutter! Less hassle since DF usually drives and has plenty of space anyways all the Disney stuff stays in the DVC tote bag at his house.

When we go we order from Garden Grocer, but bring along a small box of powder laundry detergent, dryer sheets and for the kitchen I bring a pizza slicer and baggies.

enjoy! :wizard:
