Does the pop century still have the prize counter in its arcade?

One of the things i used to like about the pop century is that you could win tickets over your vacation and by the end turn them in for little prizes etc at the counter in the arcade..

anyway.. i heard Disney is doing away with the ticket type arcade games? Or is it just the crane types?

I heard on wdwnewsradio podcast that the arcade already removed the ticket games and prize counter.. but when i called the pop century yesterday the girl who answered the phone said they the arcade was still the same as it ever was.

Anyone know what the story is currently with the pop's arcade? I'm heading down soon and was curious what to expect.

I think the podcast said they are in the process of taking out those ticket games in the arcade in Tomorrowland at the MK and will eventually be taking all of them out. So for now, I think the one in Tomorrowland is the only one gone.

we went to POP 2 weekends ago to use up the 24000 tickets my son had saved up from his time in the arcades before the prize counter is gone. The Cm there told me that the arcade cast members were getting to choose new jobs that week because they were going to be done in early February.

AS Music already took out the prize counter, the games are still there but you don't win tickets and there are no staff members working there. This is the model they are going to use.

Well that ruins having an arcade if they do not win something (speaking from my 5 year old's point of view) I would still have a BLAST! If I have time for arcades ;)

The games that gave the tickets, though, weren't really arcade videogames. They were, kinda sorta, games of chance. Games like PacMac or the flying ace one didn't give out tickets. To me, an arcade is full of the FUN games like Donkey Kong.

Very very true! I suppose to me a arcade is full of fun games like pac man, DK, and good pin ball machines I LOVE good pin ball machines .. BUT I was speaking from my 5 year old's perspective LOL She is all about the tickets/ cheap prizes sssooo sad but true. I rethought my comment from last night earlier today (I was on a terror LOL) We are going to be at DISNEY WORLD not going to be much time for an arcade anyways for goodness sake. I am going to be to busy exploring the resort and running to parks all that business being our 1st trip ever and all.
