do you know it ?

been working there 36 years, and just found out they have one, I do not know it

Yes, although I had to look it up.

I know my church's mission statement by heart, though. I helped write it.

I knew we had one, but I had to look it up.

thats what everyone is doing, lol, i looked mine up

The xxxxx xxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx provides quality, affordable housing as a platform to develop people, property and community.

Yes, I know my company's mission statement. It's been changed and tweaked a few times over the years.

Yes, and I don’t know it. The worst is when my Chief Medical Director will randomly select someone in a staff meeting and ask them about it

Yes it does.... No I do not really know it. I might be able to paraphrase part of it. Something about exceeding expectations and a mutually profitable relationship.

I used to be a big advocate of mission and vision deployment throughout the enterprise. Over a few decades I have become a lot more cynical. Many enterprises were insincere about what they expressed in public statements of that sort. Eventually, sincerity returned by way of changes to the mission and vision statements that often made clear that all along it was all always just about the shareholders. Then, as the business cycle went back around again, many enterprises removed that sincerity and turned back to insincere marketing statements.

Take a look at the Walt Disney Company mission statement from 2013:

“The Walt Disney Company's objective is to be one of the world's leading producers and providers of entertainment and information, using its portfolio of brands to differentiate its content, services and consumer products. The company's primary financial goals are to maximize earnings and cash flow, and to allocate capital toward growth initiatives that will drive long-term shareholder value.”

Don't think that the mission has changed - only the mission statement has changed.

I figured we did since we are a Fortune 100 company but I just had to look it up.

Yes, our department has one too. Can recite either but I know we have them.

Yes. We just changed it last year from one paragraph to 1 sentence, which is nice. I do have the sentence memorized.
