Does the mini fridge in a studio have??

Does it have a small Freezer that will actually freeze something? How big is it (ice cube tray,)? Can it freeze a small gel pack? Trying to figure out how to keep things cold for a baby when we take small amounts of food to the parks this June.

I always had a mini freezer in the mini fridge in a studio.

It does freeze a cupple of small ziplock filled with food (spaguetti sauce, chilli etc...)

But it is really small....

I stayed in a BLT studio last month, it had a small freezer. Small ice tray with about 10 tiny ice cubes. One thing to check - when I got there it was turned off. Make sure it's cold before you put stuff in it.

Interesting! In all my DVC stays, I've only had a refrigerator without a freezer one time and that was in an AKV value studio. Figured it was just a quirk of that particular studio. However, I've been hearing a few reports on these boards about studios with no freezer section lately. And since I have a bad back and need my ice pack on my back almost every nite, that concerns me.

Interesting. We've ALWAYS had a working freezer compartment in our studio fridges. We've stayed at AKV, BWV, BCV, and BLT. And if anyone reading is curious about GCV, our studio fridge had a freezer there as well.

If you happen to not get a freezer, you could always fill some Ziploc baggies with ice from the ice machine. Maybe bring some just in case.
