Does the Magic tender into Western Ports?

Does anyone know if the Magic has to tender into any of the Western ports? We have been on 5 eastern cruises and are finally gutsy enough to try the Western next year. Then the concerns started to roll in, about tendering and how are the beaches in Mexico? Can you do the ports of call on your own or do you really need some type of excursion.

Any help would be much appreciated as I am brand new to the "other side of the Magic caribbean"
9-24-05 Magic here we come!!

Thanks
Cindy

how much did your cab cost to get to this beach? was it very far from the port & did you have any problems getting a cab back to the port? was there a charge to get into the beach?

your pics are beautiful- thanks for sharing

Taxi ride took about 20 minutes but I cannot remember how much the cab was...it was very reasonable (we negotiated a rate for two cabs for our group) and had no problem getting a cab for the return (told the drivers what time we wanted to head back).

The beach had no charge but you cannot bring your own food or drink in. There was also a small pool to use as well.

We liked it there very much but also heard about Paradise beach which we would like to try next time.

We just returned from the 11/6 Magic and you tender at GC. If you have motion sickness issues, use the FORWARD elevators to get to the tender. The larger and more stable tenders go to that entrance, whereas the smaller and rockier boats use the AFT entrance. We had no problem with booking our own excursions in either port. We used Nativeway Sports to Stingray City and they were awesome. GC is currently in a major rebuilding phase right now, so I didn't know or meet anyone who tried to just cab it up to Seven Mile Beach. The area around Seven Mile Beach currently had severe damage from the hurricane, and most hotels are still currently closed. In Cozumel, we took a taxi to Paradise Beach. The fare was $13 for 4 people, and it was an easy ride, about 20 minutes. Paradise Beach is the same as most of the other beaches on Cozumel, there is no entrance fee, but there is a fee to use the water toys, and no outside food is allowed. If I remember correctly, it's a $15 cab ride down to Mr. Sanchos and Playa Del Sol, the two other big beaches on Cozumel. If you have any additional questions, please ask.

Thanks for all the info, especially the info on the tenders...we have all had our share of motion sickness on the last two cruises and I certainly do not want to so anything to aggrevate the situation. Was it a long process to tender in? MJ thanks I will look into that jeep tour, it sounds like a lot of fun!
