Does the Indiana Jones ride still have this?

I've heard that there is a pole you can pull while waiting in line, that rumbles the roof or something like that. Does anyone know? And if it is still there, and works, where is it, exactly? Thanks!:goodvibes

They are bamboo looking poles in the line on the left hand side. It is timed so that it does not alwasy work, but when it does, you shake it and there is some rumbling and the roof moves slightly. If you are not aware, there is also a well with a rope....tug on the rope :) Both were still working when we were last there in February.

As the PP, said, there is a rope a little bit after the pole. Pull it even though it says not to. My sister and I always pull it. I love it when people read the sign to don't pull it, and they back away. Then I come along, pull the rope and they look at me with this face :-0

:rotfl:

Sometimes the pole can be very touchy, sometimes you have to pull or push it quite hard, others not so much. Make sure the roof in the room is already up or it won't work. The pole is on the left side, the right side of the room has spikes and skeletons. I think it says "do not touch pole" on a small sign but I may be mistaken. And yes, pull the rope in the well, pull hard or it doesn't work. :)

I don't think the pole was working when we went. At least I saw people pull it hard and it didn't do anything. Also, often that part of the line is a quick walk through so you may or may not have time to pull them properly.

I also had a question about the line. Did they recently add in that part in the movie about IJ having to go in and rescue the tour group that never came out? I saw it once this time and don't remember seeing it before. But then, we often go through that area quickly so maybe I missed it. Just curious. :)

Yeah, when we went through, the line had already passed that point, so every other person was shaking with all their might (including myself), but nothing happened.

The pole is hit or miss. Sometimes its not working at all. Sometimes it has a long before it can be triggered again. I also think they lowered the volume. There used to be a bigger crash when the rope was pulled.

The rope always seems to work well, although at times it is difficult to hear the effects.

I could not get it too work on my last trip in june. Maybe they deactivated it.
We rode several times last December and it really was hit-or-miss. Sometimes you could yank on it like crazy and nothing and sometimes you just gave it a pull and you could hear the rumbling and yelling. I think the more people who are trying to get it to work, the less likely it is to work.

When we went a couple weeks ago it was working but like PPs have said it had to reset. The one that seems hit or miss more to me is the rope with the stone over the top. Where you hear the guy falling? I think it has a couple different sound effects :confused3 and if that room is full of people you can hardly hear, just see the light.

Re: the part of movie where Indy saves tourists, I have seen that before but I think it's not part of the main loop. The other parts of the movie play more often :)

The pole has to reset, if it hasn't reset it won't work......if it's just "flexy" when you push on it wait for it to reset and then go for it.
The movie has always been there, since the first time I rode that ride that movies been there. When we are on a rough road we always quote Sallah "the road gets ummmm bumpy" lol

Well I remember the part about the seat belts but I can't remember the other. Probably it has been so long since I had to wait in that area that I just forgot. But it was neat because it explains why IJ is in there. He went in to rescue us. :goodvibes
