Does the Fort still have a hiking trail?

There was a trail from WL to FW years ago. Did it get removed with the construction?

There is a "Trail" but it's more of a sidewalk. It runs off to the side of the road that goes to the WL from the Fort.

There was/is an unpaved trail closer to the beach. It has been a while since we walked it. Is this still there?

It was closed while the construction of the DVC cabins at WL was taking place when we were there in January 2017. Don't know if it has reopened (yet).

We tried to run it the other day, took the paved trail to WL then picked up the unpaved trail at the end of the row of WL cabins and headed back to the Fort. Mid way back there was a sign that we, um, were running too fast to read (yeah, that's it) that said pardon our dust, cast members only. We were able to go a bit further, but approached a maintenance shed or something. There was activity there so we turned around before getting in trouble. So, yeah, it is kind of still there, but doesn't go all the way through anymore for guests... at least not officially.
