I wonder if anyone has ever paid less than the rates on their website and how? I would like to try this hotel, but I am a huge travel bargain shopper. We will likely be going in Sept. which is typically a slow season.

I wont say they dont, but I would say it would be hard to fine one. They are a small property with a great rating. They seem to fill up at the rates they charge without a problem. They dont use any of the online book sites (expedia, travelocity, etc). I think other then booking direct, your only option is WDT or AAA.

Sometimes it works well to get a package from WDT or AAA if they have a special- such as the current kids free (while I didnt save on my hotel, I booked a package and got free kids tickets) or last fall they had a buy 3 nights get the 4th free for a package. I also account for the cost of breakfast when deciding if its a good deal for us. It would about $40 for the 4 of us for breakfast. If I stayed elsewhere for less, I would, more then likely, have to buy breakfast.

They do offer a AAA discount if you are a member. Its about $10 per night.

I would call the hotel directly and be persistent. They may come up with a better deal--but in my experience, the savings haven't been hugely different than the posted website rates.

However, take into account the perks you get at this particular property, and then figure them into your overall trip cost:

--a satisfying free breakfast (with fresh fruit that you can take for later)
--a refrigerator (and in some rooms, a microwave) that can be used to store/prepare lunches/light dinners. There's a 7-11 next door if you want to buy milk, frozen foods, etc.
--COMFY beds where you'll get a good night's sleep :)
--a FREE shuttle to the parks every half hour, even though it's an easy walk away.
--free parking, and plenty of it (rare around Disneyland!)

Sometimes those differences can even out a cheaper hotel with fewer amenities.

About 3-4 years ago, they ran a web-special for $77/night. Rates haven't come even close to that since. Sorry!

I am pretty persistant and the best I seem to be able to get anymore is $10 off with my AAA membership. We paid $92 per room in November booking 6 rooms but I agree that the benefits of this hotel outweigh the small extra cost (if there is one).

Deals during the 50th would be exceptional. CC inn is a deal.
