Does the boat at SSR/POR accomodate an ECV?

My MIL will be with us on our next trip and she will be using an ECV. We are staying at SSR and the easiest way to get to our ADRs at Boatwright's at POR would be by boat. Can MIL take her ECV on the boat?

Thanks!

She sure can.
This is a picture of the boat at the OKW dock, with the wheelchair ramp in place.

The boat starts at OKW, then at SSR before heading to Downtown Disney. On the way back from DTD, it stops at SSR again before heading back to OKW.

Here's a picture of my DH pushing DD's wheelchair up the ramp. Your MIL would just drive the ECV up (or someone else in your party could drive it up or push it up the ramp for her).

This picture shows the seats on the boat. The seat portion flips up, out of the way so that a wheelchair or ECV can be parked in the space. Very easy!

Also, depending on which building you are in at SSR, you may find it is easier to just walk. There is a very nice path that leads along the water from SSR to Downtown. The path ends at the bus station at DTD. It's level and flat, so driving an ECV on it is no problem.

Thanks, Sue!

Does that boat also stop at Port Orleans? That is where we need to go.

We have stayed at SSR before but never took the boat.

Oh, sorry.
I knew there was something wrong.
That particular route is only OKW, SSR and DTD.

POR has its own boat that goes between the 2 PO resorts and DTD. The boats are identical to the pictures I posted (the decorations are a little different though). What you would need to do is get to DTD and from there, you can take the boat to POR.
At DTD, the boats all use the same docks, just different areas of the same dock/loading area. As you go down the ramp to the dock, a CM will ask you which resort you want (it is also marked on overhead signs).
The boats run until 9pm. If your trip to POR is going to be later than that, just get on a bus to DTD from PO. From there, it's an easy walk back to SSR or you can catch a bus to SSR.

Ok, thanks!!

I am trying to convince DH we need to rent a van for this trip because most of our ADRs are at other resorts but he doesn't believe the buses will be a problem. I was so excited to hear about the boat at SSR. We do have dinner at OKW on another nite so we can take the direct boat there. :)
