Someone yesterday on another thread (in another forum?) mentioned calling Disney to get a discount using the CAA membership. So I gave Disney reservations a call to ask if my CAA membership entitiled to me to any discounts on my room. The CM was VERY confused and didn't even know what CAA was. He told me no but I'm not sure if he just didn't know and was giving me the brush off and I should call again and talk to someone a little more on the ball or just give up. :confused3

Yes, I have booked twice through CAA and were able to get all the benefits. If Disney doesn't know, I imagine that telling them it's the same as AAA would suffice and give or show CAA card number if ever asked.

Yes, I have booked thru Disney and got that discount because I am a CAA member. I have also used my CAA card for discounts at 'World of Disney"

Yes you get room only discount. You might want to book through CAA. They have blocks of rooms that are sometimes not available to the public. If any problems arise they can deal with them. We also got a 10% discount at the Disney store.

On a room only ressie you will get between 15% - 20% off on the value resorts. You must ask for the AAA rate. Some ,but not many, of the CM's know what CAA is. They will take your membership number as part of the info for the ressie. At check-in you will need to have the card handy, they may or may not ask for it. In my experience they ask about 50% of the time. If you want the discounted rate you should book as far in advance as possible because they only offer a limited number of rooms with the discount.

To get the 10% discount at "World of Disney" in DTD you must have the AAA diamond card. I was just there 2 weeks ago and I tried twice to get the 10% with my CAA card and was told no. I had read on these boards that all you had to do was show your card but that is not the case now. As I said I tried twice on two different days with two different CM's and no luck.

Thanks for everyone's replies and advice. We are staying at WL and we have DDP so I'm guessing we aren't eligible for discounts anyways. Good to know for the future though. Thanks again. :)
