I know there is a charge for booking outside DVC and WDW hotels. We are thinking of going to CA next year, and might want to spend a few nights at one of the Disneyland resorts. Is there a booking fee for these hotels? I know another possibility is to rent points then pay cash, which is something we might consider, especially if there is a booking fee.

Thanks!:earsboy:

:earsboy: As always, if I am wrong, there will be 250 posts correcting me....

Disneyland is considered part of the "Disney Collection." So, NO FEE.

We've stayed at the DL California Adventure hotel twice now. The Disneyland hotels are just like any of the other WDW hotels when using points. No fees of any kind. No room taxes.

The only charges you would ever have on your room key would be incidentals you charge while at Disneyland, such as meals or other purchases, just like it would be anywhere else.

Per the "Member Benefit Guidebook" available on the members website, there is no mention of a fee under the DC. I scanned the portion pertaining to DC AND the rules of the DC which is exhibit C. I also searched for simply a $ symbol. All I found was below under Exhibit D pertaining to DCL, CC and Adventure Collection.

EXCHANGE FEES AND PROGRAM COSTS. DVC Members will be charged a non-refundable $95.00 transaction fee per Adventurer Collection or Concierge Collection confirmed exchange or a non-refundable $75.00 transaction fee per Disney Cruise Line confirmed exchange, which is payable at the time of confirmation.
I know the one time I used the DC to stay at WL pre VWL times, there was no extra fee, the points charges are high enough as they are.
