Does the 24-Layer Cake still exist at Steakhouse 55?

:goodvibes Thank you DizMe for the photo....! It just reminds me that we should go back for more on Dapper Day weekend!!!
As far as an entree......it is FILET for me! there are lots of good sides, too. And yes, we shared the cake and still had to bring most of it back to the room!!
:goodvibes

goooof, you read my mind!! :thumbsup2 Just so happens that disneyluvr2 is having a birthday during Dapper Day weekend...I had forgotten about the 24-layer cake but I'm thinking that would be a great little birthday treat :rotfl:

I also recommend the vanilla bean creme brûlée.

I second that! The cake looks amazing unfortunately my nut allergies prohibit me from trying it. I tried the vanilla bean creme brulee and it was so good even my brother tried it and ordered one for himself.

:cool1: The perfect birthday treat IMO..... I had it last year for my birthday celebration...hummmm, maybe an early b-day for me... ;)

Does anyone know how much this beautiful cake costs? I'm sure I'll be getting it no matter what!

Yes you can order it to go. Just ask either the hostess at the reception desk or the bartender at the lounge.
I have been turned down a few times when special/private events or unusual hours have severely restricted the available menu items. On one such occasion, the manager recommended I try begging room service to send a slice to my room. Too bad I wasn't staying at the Disneyland Hotel at the time! One time the bartender said they weren't serving dinner at the lounge. But the hostess always still able to get one for me. Sometimes it just takes a smile and a friendly request, and you're in chocolate cake Heaven.

Oh wow thanks for that info! I'm celebrating my birthday on my next trip there and I absolutely adore that cake but we aren't doing Steakhouse 55 this time. So being able to stop by and pick up a slice would completely make my day.

mouthwatering. this is making me reconsider our anniversary dinner location. i was thinking carthay circle... does anyone know what the latest possible reservation at steakhouse 55 is?

although i still have another 16 days til the 60 day mark!

Hi Samserena!

I checked the Dining page, on the DLR website(for a Saturday in October---latest date available, so far), and Steakhouse 55 begins seating for Dinner at 5:30pm, and the latest seating time listed is 10:00pm(at least on that Saturday)!:)

Hi TreeDharni!

I found on an Anaheim,OC Blog, from August of 2013, that the desserts range in price from $8.00 to $14.00---so that fabulous cake will be in there somewhere---I'm guessing on the higher end;)!(Unless someone who's recently had this can chime in and let us know differently!):)

My last visit was on May 13th, 2014. The 24 layer Cake was $12.00 plus $0.96 tax from the lounge. That's the same price I've paid in the dining room as well.

It's pricey for one slice of cake. But it is easily shared. :)

The creme brûlée is $9.00 plus tax.

We got it last Thursday night. They brought it out for us free since we were celebrating my husbands 55 birthday (55 at steakhouse 55!) It was yummy, but my husband and I along with my 10 year old and 12 year old couldn't finish it all!! (And we are big eaters!)

Oh gosh, then we're definitely spliting it! Thanks for the info :thumbsup2
