I know Best Buy does, but youngest DS wants an iPod Touch gen 4 and Target has the best price $195 w/$50 GC, plus I'd save 5% with my RedCard and I'd save another $50 using the GCs I earned last week & the week before with the spend $50 coupon.

Be prepared for the offer to be a VERY low amount, even if the item is in perfect condition.

I don't know if it's different in other parts of the country but my DH is a manager for Target and they do not to electronic trade ins at his store in NY or any of the surrounding stores in the district he works in.

Well, online they were willing to pay me $49 bucks for the 3rd which is what they were selling for on e-bay (with no accessories) and $29 for the 2nd gen for which I could make $50 on e-bay and $10 for the 4th gen which is toast (again about what I'd make on e-bay) and since I'd not have the hassle of photoing and dealing with people who don't want to pay I'd be very happy with that amount from Target. I'm hoping in store they'll pay the same as essentially it would mean I'd be paying $40 for DS' new iPod. :thumbsup2

I checked and according to the website the store I go to does do trade-ins. I checked for Buffalo and they do trade in too according to the website so I'm hoping they really do do them as I can't wait to get the money if I have to mail it. I won't be able to get the ipod in time for Christmas.

Target gave me $150 for my iphone 4. It was 2 1/2 years old. I thought that was pretty generous!!

I had an old iPod that looked great and powered on fine but the battery held a charge for ~20 seconds (OK, exaggeration, but sometimes that's what it felt like) since that's not something they ask about, I was actually quite pleased with their offer. I agree that same number would have been an insult if the iPod was working perfectly though. I guess it depends on the situation and whether you want to deal with other avenues for selling or not. Gotta admit trading in at Target was about as quick and easy as it gets.

Electronics trade-ins are only at those stores which have "Target Mobile" kiosks set-up in the electronics department.

Even though "Target Mobile" has Target branding, it is owned/staffed by Radio Shack.

And I agree with the PP -- be prepared to get a low offer (best to go the eBay route for selling used electronics in great condition).

Well, I took it tonight and the guy offered me $26 for my 2nd gen. I'm going back tomorrow night and will take the offer. It's not much considering what I paid for it and I know that I could sell it on e-bay but I don't think that the wi-fi works and they didn't test it at the store. I'm also going to take middle DS' 4th gen and take whatever they offer. I think OTH that I'm going to list youngest DS' 3rd gen on e-bay and see what I can get for it. I'm going to start it at $10 mor than what they offer me at Target.
