My Mom has very bad knees so I'm trying to come up with ways to save her as much walking as possible while still enjoying time with her grandkids while at Disney. She probably won't go to the parks with us because she absolutely refuses to get an ECV. We rented one for her when we went 3 years ago. She refused to even try it. Her knees are even worse now, but she still refuses. She's not embarassed, she's just afraid to drive it and we've all talked with her until we're blue in the face and she won't even try.
I made all but one of our ADR's at resorts. We're staying at CBR. I thought it would be easier for my Mom to take a cab from CBR to the resorts where we're having dinner. I assume that we could have a cab pick her up at the CBR bus stop that was closest to their room and it would drop her off right at the resort entrance. My husband thinks it wouldn't save her all that much walking, but I disagree. Can we have a cab pick her up at the closest CBR bus stop or will she have to walk to the main building? Would the cab drop her off right at the resort entrance (AKL, DWL, Contemp, Poly)?
A cab would also save her from having to go up the steps on the bus which she really struggles with.
Any other thoughts or tips you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
