Does SW Add Flights to Schedule?

I'm watching fares for our PHL to MCO flight in August. We need a Thursday evening flight, and at this time the latest flight is at 5:10p.m., which is too early for us. We usually get a flight at about 7:30, but it's not being offered this time! Do they ever add flights? I hate to use another airline because I hate the bag fees, and we've always been pleased with SW. It seems to me that now that they are merged with Airtran, there are fewer choices available.

Not sure what the whole AirTran thing is doing to schedules/etc, however in my experience when Southwest releases a schedule they do very little to change that schedule unlike the legacy carriers. I have never had a SW flight change schedule other than weather or mechanical related whereas when I have booked further out on a legacy changes have happened several times.

Here at BWI, No not really. I have not seen it. But we have SEVERAL flights from BWI to MCO daily. It seems that they have really cut back on the Philly to MCO flights which stinks for you guys. Sorry!

I wouldn't count on it. There's only 1 time I saw a flight added and that is for our return date. Originally we had the latest flight out of MCO to MIL for 7:30 and about a month ago they moved our flight to 7:15 and added an 8:15 flight. This is for Airtran tho. I think it's very rare that a flight gets added. The good thing with SW, you can always change your flight if they add another one.

Thanks everyone - I talked DH into taking the day off on our departure day so that we can fly out in the morning. There really aren't that many nonstop flights from PHL to MCO any more. I heard something on the news that it costs carriers more to fly out of PHL than other airports. It really does stink for us, but the good news is I now have a full day on the first day of vacation, so it's all good!
