Just throw those yellow tags on your bags and they'll get to your hotel (it's not Southwest that pulls them- it's Disney). After your stay, you have to TAKE YOUR BAGS WITH YOU TO DME and put them below the bus. Then you'll have to take them to the counter just like you would any other trip. They won't make it to your plane without you taking them.

The highlighted portion above is no longer accurate. Southwest now participates in Resort Airline Check in at all resorts except for CBR and OKW, which means that most guests flying SWA can now check bags and get boarding passes at their resort on their departure day (subject to normal RAC rules). It is still recommended that SWA passengers use EBCI or arrange to check in at the 24-hour mark to obtain their boarding numbers. This will not affect your ability to use RAC.

We just got back and flew Southwest. As the previous poster said just put those yellow tags on your bags and go directly to DME when you arrive in Orlando. We did EBCI and our boarding passes and luggage tags were left on our door the morning of our return flight. All we had to do was drop our luggage off at Resort Airline check in desk before we left on DME to the airport. It is great because you do not have to deal with all that luggage and avoid going to the Southwest check in at the airport. Just go straight to the security check line. We had a wonderful stay at BLT!!

Oh no! I've been looking forward to SWA RAC for YEARS...but we are staying at OKW! Why on earth is that resort excluded?

At CBR it is a case of not enough room in the secure area for that many more bags, OKW may have the same reason.

Staying at BLT in October....can't wait, first time at that one! Glad to hear you had a wonderful time there.

Thanks everyone for the SWA/DME info, my fellow travelers that are using that airline will be glad to hear the info.

Yes, I do believe that it is a storage problem at CBR and OKW that limits them.

So what do you do when you have a late SWA return flight and are staying at CBR? We were planning to visit the park on the last day and now are worried about what to do with our luggage? Thanks for your help!

I answered this on the other thread. I assume your using DME back to the airport. If so, you will have to be on the bus about 3 hours before your flight. You simply have your resort store your luggage until you are ready to leave.

RAC is now available @OKW; we used it 2 weeks ago. Recent renovations were made to accommodate the extra luggage. :cool1:

You used RAC with SWA at OKW? If so, that's the first report I've heard and will make many people happy.

You might want to double check this info! I thought I recently saw a post on the boards saying that RAC at Old Key West was now accepting SWA!
