Does Southwest do resort check in for ME??

We are leaving from AKL and the ME agent told me that we can check our bags at the resort. We are flying on Southwest. Is this new??? SWA never used to participate in resort check in.

You can check baggage going home at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

For several months now, Resort Airline Check-in for Southwest flyers has been available at all Disney's resorts except Caribbean Beach and Old Key West.
