Does Smuggler's Run do Rider Swap?

Not sure if the AP preview will be different than how it operates currently at DL, but just curious what I may need to get my wife on the ride (hopefully with my son)?

I've heard wait times can get "reasonable" after the initial rush (due to no Fast Pass line), but I'd still like the opportunity for her to go without waiting the full time, if possible.
