make you appreciate yours all the more?

It sure does mine.

Yes! And sometimes the DIS makes me appreciate what I have all the more.

Sadly, I would be the friend or co-worker making you appreciate who you married.

I remember telling my boss about the birthday gift my Dh got me a couple of years ago. A pooper scooper. Well, I just know he walked out of there feeling like the worlds number ONE husband, because he would never dream of getting his wife a pooper scooper. He did say my Dh was his hero though...what ever that means (LOL)

O appreciate my DH anyway, but I do say a silent "Thank God" for him when I hear about some of the men my colleagues are dating or married to.

I have often told DH that if he dies, I would probably never remarry, because I would so not be able to put up with some guy's crap.

Yes!!! At a job I had several years ago, some co-workers had some real winners for husband's. I was so appreciative of my DH.

I try to remember those co-workers and a current one when DH does something that bugs me. Sure, he can be a pain sometimes, but man, compared to other men, he's a saint!!!

Hearing about my coworkers wives and girlfriends just confirms one thing I've thought for years. All women really are crazy!! :thumbsup2

I have told my husband the same thing. I just don't think I could do it.

My husband is a good guy. He's got his faults that drive me nuts, but I couldn't see myself with anyone else.

I used to hear so many stories from my friends over lunch when I worked & was still single. I just assumed all guys were that way! Then I met & married my DH & boy....did I ever luck out!! He's NOTHING like the DH's of the women I used to work with! Thank goodness though, because otherwise I'd be referring to my DH as my 'late DH'! :teeth:

I mean they used to tell stories of how their DH's left their dirty socks on the floor in the familyroom. Never put their dirty clothes in the hamper. Or never gave their wives even a card for their b-days or Valentine's Day, never helping around the house, never helping out with the kids, or would have their weekends all booked up with their friends instead of spending time with their spouses.....Tons of other stories like that. All I thought (after marrying my DH) was what a bunch of losers they all settled for!

Heck, the laundry thread here is making me appreciate my DH!!

But I don't need to hear the horror stories to appreciate him...I do anyway!
