No no no! Santa leaves his huge sack on our living room, full of the [unwrapped] presents he leaves. They are labeled and DH pulls them out one by one.
The Santa's sack tradition was stared by DH's family. I made a HUGE sack. You wouldn't believe all the stuff that has fit in there over the years!
Here is how we DRAG out present opening until about noon:
1. The presents in Santa's sack are distributed.
2. Mom starts a very nice Christmas breakfast.
3. While breakfast is cooking, we open stockings.
4. We eat a nice breakfast.
5. We open the wrapped presents. We go around the room and each person takes turns opening one present. That way it lasts a LONG time.
6. We have these silver ornaments that open up that are suspended from a light fixture. At some point, someone remembers those, and those are the last presents.
