Santa always had different wrappiing paper here. Big presents, for example Barbie's house, just came assembled with a big bow on it.

Our daughter is married now and We give our DD and SIL checks and the big Disney tote or duffle of the year with lots of unwrapped items inside. I pick up things for the stocking all year, for example, a cup with a top to microwave soup that they can use at work etc. Each year there is something there that they are thrilled with that surprises me. Last year my daughter got excited about the duffle since her's had broken, and my SIL liked the toothbrush sanitizer I put in there.

Well, have you ever seen a movie or read a book w/ Santa in it? ;)

I'm thinking... and the only movie (or book) I can think of where Santa gives wrapped gifts is in one of "The Santa Claus" movies w/ Tim Allen. In the movie, Santa gave wrapped gifts to adults at an office party.

I have a plate commissioned by Coca-Cola displayed on our mantle. On the plate is the Coca-Cola Santa Claus, & he is in front of a Christmas tree w/ unwrapped toys - he's playing w/ a helicopter that he brought to the home.

I enjoy reading everyone's traditions! And, like you, I'd never heard of wrapping Santa gifts until the DIS. ;)

It is fun to read about everyone's traditions! I love Christmas movies, but I guess i don't pay enough attention.

I tried having 'special' paper for Santa gifts when oldest son was little, but it was too much to keep up with, especially since DH wraps some things when I am at work. Now my boys are old enough that it doesn't matter :(

Santa gifts were not wrapped when I was growing up. There's always the big wow factor associated with seeing the gifts set up and put together. We usually do several gifts from Santa and often any shared gifts are from Santa so there's no arguing who opens the shared present :goodvibes My boys are 5 and 7 and santa items this year are things like a beyblade stadium they will enjoy together and car dvd players.

My husbands family wrapped santa gifts, but he didn't care which way we did Santa for our kids. All family related gifts are wrapped.

Growing up, gifts from Santa (never mom and dad) were not wrapped. I always thought unwrapping a gift was as much fun as the gift itself so my children's gifts have always been wrapped-except for stocking stuffers. Each child has his/her own paper.

Nothing is wrapped in our family. My parents didn't wrap for us either growing up. My mom said there was way too much to wrap with all the other presents to family too. So under the tree were the wrapped presents to cousins/grandparents & siblings & 1gift from mom/ dad.

Santa always brought at least 1 outfit (shoes too) & then the 1 large gift(bike, stereo, tv) & then all the little stuff...makeup, games. skates, etc.
In the stocking was anything little, earrings, lotion and CANDY. always the tootsie roll bank & lifesavers book.
