Does QVC Ever Repeat Daily Deals?

I was channel surfing a bit after midnight today and landed on QVC while I was going. I usually kind of laugh at them as weird kitschy stuff but they had a set of bareMinerals makeup today that I actually loved. 4 eyeshadows, 2 eyeliners, mineral veil, blush, lip gloss, and 2 brushes for $50 plus shipping. I liked the look of it but figured hey I'll sleep on it and maybe tomorrow evening if I still want it I'll get it. Prudent shopping and all.

Except apparently according to this online: http://www.qvc.com/bareMinerals-Beautifully-Brilliant-8-pc-Holiday-Collection.product.A228205.html it was apparently some super special one-day only deal which I had no idea of watching it on TV. And it's all sold out.

I have no experience with QVC. Do they ever repeat their deals? It seems silly to think that they would only sell it for one day, can I check the site each day and expect a repeat at some point since it's so early in the holiday season or am I sore out of luck?

I guess it isn't there anymore. They usually have a different today's special value each day. They might repeat them once a year or so. They may get it in again, but the price won't be the same.

Since it is a holiday collection, I would expect it would not come back in stock.

Now if you're looking for a VitaMix, computer, Keurig or Clarisonic, just wait a month. It will return shortly.

That's frustrating. The stupid woman on the TV said nothing about it being only available for one day. You'd think they would emphasize that... Thank you, though!

They do emphasize over and over and over that it is only good for that day and it is a Today's Special Value, thus the today part. It drives me nuts when they do it too. lol For years now the problem with the bare minerals special value kits is that ebayers and resalers buy these low cost kits because they can take them apart and sell them for a lot more piece by piece. They buy in bulk and it is rare if they don't sell out.

No they will not be offering it again either. They will offer other BE kits but not the same ones.

HTH

I watched for a good 15 minutes and I don't recall her ever saying it was a one-day thing, she was too busy smearing makeup on the already made-up models! I was sitting there going "swirl, tap, buff! You can't even demo this stuff right!" :lmao:

But based on the people complaining online it sounds like they flubbed the time listing online and then they were all sold out by 1:30 so maybe I was never going to get one anyway...

It's too bad, those eyeliners won't be out till Spring and I really wanted to try them.

You must have caught it at a good time since most times I want to yell shut up already we know it is a one time deal only good till midnight tonight. lol Sometimes I don't know why I don't just change the channel but I like the makeup tips I can get.

I am sure they do make mistakes too One time it was before 6am on BE and I do believe it was a holiday special too.

Check Ebay this week and I bet you find hundreds of each piece in that set for sale too.

It will eventually come back in stock but it will not be the " Today's Special Value" price. They do often have a wait list if the item sells out. Try calling an explain that you are a new customer and didn't understand how the "Today's Value" worked, see if they have a wait list for the value price. There's also auto delivery too, where they send you the collection with different shades 2-3 times a year. You have to lock in to the auto delivery program, and you will be charged each time they send you a new color shipment. The blog "Musings of a Muse" has the colors of the auto delivery collections.

Generally there's a bright red "Today's Special Value" banner or logo permanently displayed on the screen while that item is on the air. It's probably not that they flubbed the time in any way, just that the item sold out.

Really, truly sold out. I've gone back and looked at the items from all yesterday's shows and that kit is just. Gone.

Yeah I agree - OP if you check the tab marked "Videos" on the link you provided you can see the presentation, and see how they mark the "Today's Special Value" on the right side, bottom:

Some popular offers do sell out, and sometimes they'll offer a "One Time Only" special on something. You might want to watch their Bare Minerals section to see if they offer another special collection soon:

Good luck, hope the one you want comes back in stock. :)
BTW, HSN has the same type of daily deal too (midnight to midnight). :goodvibes

Actually, yes, they do sometimes repeat Today's Special Values -- they had a camera on Labor Day that I actually ordered, then changed my mind and cancelled, and it came back on as a TSV again this week due to popular demand -- with free shipping, to boot -- so I ordered it this time and won't cancel. But I wouldn't expect this one to come back. They do get returns and offer them as clearance items, but I don't know that they'd clearance returned makeup.

Bare Minerals QVC specials aren't usually repeated. Keep your eye out for a Beauty Rush event of the Bare Minerals web site and you can sometimes score QVC overstocks. They don't even sell any B.M in the QVC outlet stores because of the contract with B.M. I thought that mineral veil was awesometoo, but I just got the Christmas kit in store less then a month ago. I may have been drooling over the 2 oz. primer......

As others have said they will tell you all day long that it is a TSV. Also if you look at the price it also says Today's Special Value.
They will have other TSV's from BE but rarely if ever repeat the exact same products.

:thumbsup2 i BOLDED.
OP: thats why the DEAL is so good, a "todays special value" often sells out fast, so when you see one, you gotta jump on it. The "show" does not know how fast it will sell out...that depends on the consumers...and no, youll never see that Exact combination again...its a one time deal...but you may see variations of it for sale on the website and you do not have to wait for a sale, just buy it of it works for you.
Good Luck!

Anyone who loves their primer might be interested to know monistate has an anti chafing gel sold in stores like Walmart in a tube for a few dollars. It is the exact same consistancy and does the exact same thing as the BE primer. Someone suggested it on the Dis boards years ago and I had to buy it to find out and sure enough it feels and works just like the expensive BE primer.

Thanks for the reiterations of what that all means. Since I literally never watch the network I didn't realize Today's Value meant it would be such a limited stock item, I'm used to normal sales and websites where the item is still available, it might just not be as cheap. Poking around the site suggested that they ordered less product than in previous years, too.

On the plus side today I looked back and they have a waitlist purchase going for $61 + shipping instead of $50. So it's a little more but still a very nice deal. I guess I wasn't the only one left high and dry with the limited number of sets this year so here's hoping I get lucky.

Thanks again!

I will try this, thanks so much:goodvibes

If you have not purchased it yet also check Ulta and Sephora websites because a lot of times they get a similar version of the BE specials on QVC for around the same price.

I was just going to post this same advice! I know that Ulta gets similar kits a week or two later than the one you saw on QVC and for a pretty decent price. Always check your Ulta circular because they always list the BE kits they have specials on.
