I'm sorry to hear that - that is so sad and so much for someone Chelsea's age to deal with. What a great tribute to him!
It was just so tragic. It was very hard for Chelsea to deal with -- it was the first time she has ever had to deal with anything like that.
Tybee Island looks great!
It is the most charming beach town we have ever been to.
I am SO in love with that cottage!! We have seen the signs for Tybee driving down to Disney before, but man oh man, that cottage is adorable!! Did you take more inside pics of it?! Can't wait to hear all about your trip!
I did take lots more pics of the inside one day when we were all resting in the afternoon.
Love the pictures so far!!!! Tybee definitely looks like a place I could go escape to anytime!!!

Love the Disney tee....gotta channel your inner Mickey whenever you can!
Oh, yes, you will see that Disney had a way of creeping into many aspects of our trip. LOL!
What an adorable little cottage! I would love to stay in a place like that someday.

Seems like a great getaway.
It was the perfect getaway! We could have moved in and never left.
I had to go over and take a look at that one, too. Have the kids already laid claim to their rooms on that one? I'm guessing Chelsea gets the bigger bed and Connor will be the surfer guy?
That was kind of my thought, too. I haven't shown them Sea Glass yet, though. Although now, Charles has informed me he would like to do a week at Tybee and a week at Disney next summer, so we may go with Fish Camp Cottage again so we can afford both trips. We'll see how things pan out. You know me -- I dream big and then have to alter those plans to fit our real-world budgets.
Oops, must have missed your fb post that you were starting a new PTR...just saw the one yesterday that you had a new chapter. Well, I'm here now and all caught up! Saw the Tybee pics on fb, too, the cottage is super duper cute and looks like you all had a great time!! I'm glad we get to hear all the stories now!

And, I'm always up for some Disney planning, too...twists and turns and all!
Yeay! Glad you are here! Yes, stay tuned for lots more pictures, stories, and plans. LOL!
Wow, that cottage is adorable! As much as I loveeee Disney World, the thought of other vacations does creep in my mind at times and Tybee looks like an amazing place! I could see some lovely meals out there on that screened in porch!
I like how you were wearing a Mickey shirt in the picture Charles took
I hope all is going well with school for you. I have one semester left for my Master's and the thought of going for another one makes my head spin haha Kudos to you!
Thanks! We fell for Tybee hook, line, and sinker! No doubt about it!
Yes, I packed some Disney touches. LOL!
Yeay for having just one more semester left! I said the same thing after my Masters -- I guess that's why I waited five years to go back.
Oh my goodness, your cottage looks great! That's definitely a place that I'm going to have to look into for a vacation!
Tybee was so much better than we ever dreamed it would be, and Mermaid Cottages really impressed us throughout the trip.
I noticed today looking on Mermaid Cottages site that Mary Kay Andrews owns a cottage on Tybee and rents it out.
I know! Isn't that cool? She calls it Breeze Inn, and I love it! Unfortunately, I don't love the price tag on it.
