I am planning on bringing a convention group to Disneyland for the fireworks on July 4th. We won't be able to arrive at the park until early evening. What are the chances that we won't be granted admittance due to park capacity??

:wave2: just waving hi to my neighbor. I see you live in Bonney Lake, my sister, brother and ex-SIL all live there as well! I'm closer to the airport.

Have a great Disney trip! :cool1:

If I make Priority Seatings for dinner on the 4th, will they let us in even if the park is at capacity???? I am really concerned, as our convention is in session until 5:00 on the 4th - the earliest we can arrive at Disneyland is 6:00, so I thought maybe making dinner reservations might increase our chances of getting let in?????

Mom2My2Daughters - I'll bet, with the nice weather coming up, you will be spending some time at the lake in our part of the state? :wave2:

It has been awhile since I talked to anyone who works at DL, but here is how it used to work
The gate will not close all at once. It goes down in stages and often never needs to go past stage one. If it does go to stage two it may revert back to stage one later in the day.
Stage one is to close ticket sales on site. Anyone with a ticket still gets in.
Stage two is to close the parks to everyone except AP holders and Resort guests. I think if you have a hand stamp from earlier in the day you can still get in, but not sure.
Stage three is to close the parks to all.

So if you have tickets in hand you can get past the gate even if it is in stage one. If it goes to stage two you can always ask about the PS, I have never run into a closed gate myself, so never asked. If not, ask when to check back.

That said, yes I have heard the park gets to capacity on the 4th and this year crowds are higher already.

Having a PS will not guarantee you admission. I am afraid that there is no way to guarentee that you will be admitted to the park.

I am sorry I do not have better news for you. If worst comes to worst you can "watch" the fireworks from DTD or the enterance plaza, unfortunetly you will not have the audio or any of the cool new effects I have heard about.

Good Luck.
