My husband has metastatic colon cancer and he is currently undergoing his third round of chemotherapy. We are headed to WDW on Sunday morning and I was wondering if their might be a GAC (?) for him available. He can't be exposed to prolonged sun. I know it's a little late but I didn't even know that this might be an option as I have never heard of it before today, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

He does not need a Dr. note. Just explain to the CM what the needs are of your DH. Staying out of the sun, alternative entrance so he doesn't have to stand so much, etc.

They are not looking for a dx but more what can they do help make your trip magical.

All the best, April

Thank you so much for the fast reply. We really want this trip to memorable for all of (DH 48, DW, DD15 and DD7) us. I fear that this might be our "LAST FAMILY" trip to our "home away from home."

BTW....where exactly would I get this card anyway? Is it available at EPCOT by any chance?

The GAC is available at Guest Services in any of the parks. Read the FAQ at the top for more information on the GAC.

At Epcot it is in the park and to the left at guest services. At MK you can also get it outside at guest services to the right of the ticket area. At MGM it is also to the left upon entering in a building by first aid and I don't know at AK.

I pray you and your family enjoy this trip and get many pictures. Stop by first aid when your DH gets tired. They have nice beds for him to rest and cool bottled water. They are wonderful people and will do everything they can to keep your DH comfortable.

My Father died of cancer and we took care of him at home for two years. I miss him so much and only wish he were here to guide me thru life. I feel cheated.

Blessings, April
