I am thinking of trying to get dinner there without a ressie. Is this possible? Anyone done it?

We went two years ago with ressies (Nov) and still had to wait for our table. Several people walked up and were all told the same thing. Nothing was available.

We tried one time with no success. We were kind of whining to the cast member at one of the Canadian carts and she even tried for us. I was hoping she had an inside connection, but she had no luck either. You might have a better shot at lunch!

I don't mean to be rude, but....:rotfl2:
all I can suggest is, keep calling, sometimes people cancel. this has got to be the most difficult one to get into. try a lunch ressie. how many in your party? (sometimes they don't have a table for 2 in their computer, but DO have tables for 3.)

I did lunch there with a same day reservation and they were taking walk ups.. (this was in June 1st or so of this year) ..

Dinner .. usually much busier and tougher to do that.

Le Cellier will rarely take walk ups because of the popularity of the resturant. It's usually completely booked. It could be possible if someone had missed their meal or canceled their meal.

You could always try, but it's hard to walk up to LeCellier. I would make a back up ADR just to be on the safe side.

On rare occations people get lucky. But they do not hold space for walkups and in fact regularly book a few more tables than they have expecting no shows.

We were there in late Aug. and we walked up for lunch just as they were opening. We were seated immediately, although they looked at us a little funny at first when we told them we had no ressies ... We were a party of 5. If you are planning on going it might be just as well to try for an ADR though.

This is one you definitely need a reservation for. Every time I've seen someone walk in to try to get a table without a reservation, I've heard them say, "I'm sorry but we're fully booked."

I have done it twice...Once 2 yrs ago in August for Lunch and last Nov. for lunch, but we try to make reservations otherwise.

:lmao:

I can't believe the last person was able to get one last November for dinner. They were very lucky. We ate there last November -- I think around 6 or 6:30 & walkups were turned away ... I heard the hostess tell one person that Le Cellier was booked thru Feb!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course there might be a cancellation ... but best prepare for disappointment in case there is no room at the inn! Good Luck!

Keep watching on the boards people cancel all the time :thumbsup2 good luck

Last year during free dining we talked to the CM at Le Cellier and she said they had just seated 4 walk up parties that day! All they can do is say no! Since I couldn't get ADRs for my next trips, we're going to do a walk up. If we can't get in I'll order some takeout soup!

I couldn't believe we got a table either but I know for sure that we did not eat around 6 or 6 30 it was earlier and it was the week after thanksgiving a slow time. I wasn't going to even ask because the person in front of me was turned away, but I didn't. I know it was lunch time for sure because my husband raved about the burger he got the whole trip

We went in May of 2006 and a couple tried to walk up while we were waiting and the hostess told them no openings until after August.

We were just there for dinner on 11/6 and they were turning people away who hadn't reserved in advance. This was at 8pm at night too.

I just returned from a 7 day stay at WDW (Oct 30 to Nov 06)and you definately need a ressie for Le Cellier, even for lunch. They were turning away people who were walking up even at lunch time. Best bet is to try calling to see if people cancelled. And if you can't get dinner ressie, try lunch

Just wanted to let everyone know that it is not impossible to get a walk up. We ate at Le cellier twice this trip. Once on 11/25 with an adr for dinner and then on 11/29 for lunch as a walk up. It also helps that there were only 2 in our party, but we still got in.
