Does it ever get too chilly on the Skyliner?

We are driving to CBR tonight to have dinner at Sebastian’s Bistro. My plan was to take the family for a ride on the Skyliner (most have never been on it) as a couple of us may hop to DHS for an hour or two.

However, last night’s cold temps have my family a bit gun shy. Thoughts on if it gets really chilly on the Skyliner?

Especially with it being in the 30s tonight?

That's a really interesting question! We've always been concerned about the heat! Those vents/flaps that create airflow appear to be adjustable, so I would hope they can close them on cold days and keep the outside air from pushing through. But I kinda doubt there are heaters in there!

I have closed the vents in cold weather before if open (usually they have already been closed by prior occupants). It makes the trip tolerable IMO as the wind chill created with them open is sometimes too much for me.

I agree that the first thing you should look at when entering the gondola is to see if the vents are open or closed and close them if necessary. I would think that they would all be closed due to the cold, but you never know.

There are vents in the floor which cannot be closed. Depending on whether there is a breeze and which direction it’s blowing, you may still have a cold draft from those. I have never been too cold in a gondola, but I don’t think the temps were quite as cold as this weekend.

YES , it will be cold. But you will survive. ❄☃⛄
Normally - yes for sure :)

Unfortunately my husband has health issues and gets cold really easily. And the rest of the family is feeling wimpy. We might just skip it.

It’s cold out there!

We skipped it. We froze waiting outside Sebastian’s Bistro after checking in for dinner lol.

You’d think we’re not hardy Canadians 🤣

Don’t feel bad. It’s a totally different version of cold here, especially when it’s windy. It makes wimps out of all of us. Sorry you missed the Skyliner, but it will still be there for you to enjoy when it’s warmer.

Everybody wanted A/C in the cabins ……………. There ya go. Lol
I flew back near midnight, wasn’t any worse than outside. Lol
The seats get a bit chilly but I was warmer in the cabin than i was outside.
Despite the artic freeze, I seen more than one person wearing shorts and more than one cabin come in with the windows open. Lol
The only thing I could figure was, a tour group from Antarctica was visiting the parks. Lol
If your coming for New Years, bring your shorts! Low 80’s !!
