Does it bother you when restaurants leave their front door open?

I have been craving Chinese food for months and we have a place by us that smells so good every time I walk by there.

I can't bring myself to go in and order anything because they always have their front door open.

Am I being silly or does this just seem gross to anyone else?

I don't really feel like battling food poisoning while I'm pregnant.

Never gave it a thought....still don't.....open doors don't bother me...

Hmmm...

Maybe I am being silly. I just keep thinking that that's an easy way to let bugs in.

How does an open door = food poisoning?

Sounds silly to me.

Nope. I figure it's a good sign--the rats have a way out!!! :D

Well, here in Florida, we can rarely leave our door open for more than a second because of all the various insects.

I guess I was just thinking about bugs flying in and out of the restaurant all day because they just leave the door open and there is no screen or anything.

My stomach has been so queasy (sp?) lately. Maybe I'm thinking too much about it. :p

I agree with you about it being gross....should be a screen door up to keep out bugs. My husband runs a restaurant and that would be a health code violation here.

Yep, it would be a health code violation here, too, but there are places that are quite a bit more lax. We went to Thailand a few years ago and stayed on an island, Koh Samui. Since the temps there rarely fall below 80, many of the restaurants didn't even have doors or windows! We were sitting in one of the restaurants on their main strip one afternoon and these dogs kept wandering in and out. These were not the cleanest, most well-kept dogs, either. It wasn't particularly bothering me at first, but when one of them jumped up on the vacant chair next to me and proceeded to engage in a loud and thorough cleaning, DH and I decided it was time to go.
