Does it always take 30 min. to make a payment?

I called Expedia tonight to make a payment and I was on the phone for 30 minutes. When I asked if that was normal, he said it was contacting DCL that took so long. I'm thinking I could have and should have done that myself. Why did I not book with DCL in the first place?

Your Expedia agent could have been on hold with DCL while you were on hold with him. It may have been a busy call time, too.

How much do you think you saved by going through Expedia?
 
My mom is taking a Celebrity transatlantic and Med cruise she booked thru Expedia (great price). Everytime she has to call Expedia it has been a long wait(over 30 minutes)...she said she will not use them again...too much hassle for the couple of hundred she saved.

I had long rates with expedia also..couldn't even reach them..and they sent me a letter on a prepaid room, saying if I didn't confirm, they were cancelling..what's up with that..they had already charged my card..lol.

Took me two days to reach them.

Needless to say, I will not use them again either.
 

Webray, you asked how much I saved. I don't think I saved a penny. I was too concerned about getting a room booked. Every date I asked for was full. I did call DCL and Travelocity and they were all about the same after compairing apples to apples. Some quote with just the base price and others include port fees and everything. To be honest, the reason I didn't use DCL is because I couldn't understand the person I was talking to. I had alot of questions and I had trouble understanding him. I didn't know about this website at the time either. I just knew I wanted to go on a Disney Cruise!

CRSNDSNY, did you ever figure out what happened? I hope they got it all worked out. That is scary.

BTW -- if you call and can't understand the person who is helping you (I've had this happen), call back and you'll get someone else. Sometimes its difficult over the phone to understand the broken English. I've called back at times.
