Ok, so I can go on roller coasters, and have been recently. The more twsty it is though, the more sick I feel. Any spinning for me and its usually game over. So I was wondering if gravol would stop that (or at least reduce it)?

Has anyone tried with any success?

Gravol isn't available in the US.....Most people on here probably won't know what your talking about. I learnt that lesson last year when my son suffered a partial bowel obstruction and needed gravol to stop the vomiting. Pharmacist didn't even know what I was talking about!:rotfl: When I explained she pointed me to similiar products....

To answer your question if it works on rides, I believe it should. People use it for nausea on cuise ships for motion sickness....

Gravol, never leave Canada without it!

Yep- no gravel- but what they give you is a better alternative. I can't remember it's name but is is sold in the resort's gift shops. It is orange and chewable. Great stuff. I would take one each morning before I hit the parks and I was OK. Have a great time! :thumbsup2

As a US Pharmacist, I suspected and confirmed that Gravol is the same as our Dramamine. I have heard of people using it before rides to prevent motion sickness.

Good Luck!!!

Dramamine/Gravol would work for sure. I personally use Bonine - same concept, different ingredient (meclizine) and I've had good luck with it also.

Another thing to try is ginger. I prefer candied ginger, but you can also get ginger pills. I think it works just as well as Dramamine, but without the drowsiness.

Regular Dramamine does make you drowsy, but there is a less drowsy formula you can get. Bonine is another option that isn't supposed to make you drowsy.

Does it make you drowsy too?

Bonine is also known as Less Drowsy Dramamine. And it is usually what I would recommend. The ingredient is Meclizine. It may still cause drowsiness in some people, so it would be a good idea to "test it out" before the trip. Some drowsiness from antihistamines like this can be counteracted by drinking a Coke.

Always
read the label for Warnings and Contraindications. If you Pass, go for it!

Ginger is another good option.

It all depends on what will work for you, SAFELY.
