Should I be buying it now for fear of it being sold out?

I was thinking I would decide each evening for the next day in case we decided to not do the parks.

I've not heard that Genie+ is selling out, but your opportunity to use it can become limited. During the really busy days folks are reporting snagging Genie+ and only getting to use it for 2 rides or so. Granted, I cannot speak to how picky or timely they are or are not trying to be. We were there right before the REALLY crazy Thanksgiving crowd kicked up (our last day was pretty crazy) and didn't bother with Genie+ at all.

Disney has announced that G+ will never sell out. Which, honestly, is ridiculous. This week, they were selling G+ to people in AK even when there was literally not a single LL left for any ride or attraction in the entire park. And even short of that, selling G+ to so many people on crowded days means that no one will get all that much use of it, since the very best rides are gone in minutes (if not seconds), the next best rides are gone by 11:00, and virtually everything of value is gone by 1:00. I don't see any valid reason for Disney not to cap sales of G+ for any given day. If they're really that concerned about losing revenue, they should surge price it on crowded days.

lol, no

(Then again, as we've seen recently, absolutely anything is subject to change on Disney's whim.)

I'm not advocating surge pricing. I think that they should simply cap sales so that they don't end up selling something of little value to unwary guests. I was just acknowledging the reality that, these days, Disney seems to make every parks policy decision based on short-term profits. Surge pricing would at least be a way to recoup the same revenues without hosing your guests by selling them snake oil.

Where can I find the most info on Genie+ and Lighting Lane? going to be there in a week have to read and learn fast.....

Genie + does not sell out, but purchasing it does not mean you will get to ride the rides that accept it. We were there last week and one day we only got on 2 rides, the next time we purchased it, we were able to do 4, but 3 were in the evening hours of MK when the lines were already short.
Paid Lighting Lanes does sell out (Rise of the Resistance, Frozen, Avatar Flight of Passage etc...)
I believe you can only purchase the day you are using it, but I may be wrong. I know for the paid Lightening Lanes it is the morning of, 7 a.m. if you are staying on property, if not it is when the parks open.

They would sell it to you 1 minute before the park closes if they can get people to bite.
