does free dining usually happen every year?

i know that disney changes things from year to year and there's no guarantees, but historically, do they do free dining every year during sept? we were at wdw for the 1st time this year in sept during free dining, and i see for 2011 they are doing free dining through sept, we're planning our next trip for sept 2012, so i;m wondering what the likelihood is of free dining again? any thoughts would be great, thanks!

For the last few years they have been offering "free" dining in September, but 2012 is too far off to predict, considering Disney would like to fill the hotels without resorting to incentives.

Some form of the "free dining" discount has been offered every year (usually in September although it has since expanded to other times of year) since 2005. As Disney has apparently found it an exceedingly effective way of filling the resorts and restaurants in traditionally slow times, it's possible it will return for 2012.
