I appreciate the 'hover' feature--sometimes you can tell if a thread is going to get ugly just by the initial post. However, sometimes a thread will take an unexpected tangent and BAM! The OP never knew what hit 'em!

I try to stay on the nice side--conflict is not my 'thing.'

I had a root canal yesterday, my first ever after a weekend in pain. I'm on percocet now, it mildly helps. Yeah, I'm not a happy woman since the kids didn't get the memo that mommy feels like crap and needs a break!

And yes MNF you can usually tell where a thread is going with the hover feature. I am so used to it on the dis I try and hover over news stories on my news websites. LOL I also reach to rewind the radio on the car sometimes too, then realize I don't have that feature.

There are still lots of great people on the Dis and I imagine some of the snarky ones are under more pressure then they are willing to admit or at least that is how I manage not to put a boatload of people on ignore. But really I can't wait til a few weeks after inauguration day or til people switch their political banners back to trip counters or football logos!!!

You are not going to believe this but I swear I was thinking about that very same thing the other night. I have run into grumpy people on and off my entire life but Im telling you that this board is a magnate for them. I dont think Ive ever seen so many, lets just say, disgruntled, people in one place. All I can say is im glad im not one of them. Really the only time I get upset on the boards is if the topic is relating to some sort of child abuse, then I REALLY get heated. As far as politics go, I think both our choices this time around isnt much to brag about much less get my blood pressure up over. So much so that I have really considered not even voting this time and I havent missed an election since Ive been old enough to vote.

It knocks me out, so it's something! The dentist said I had some of the deepest roots he's ever seen so it may take awhile longer for the pain to go away. Not what I wanted to hear, but at least I can chew again!

I read it as Pre Menstal Syndrom (PMS) ..well no PMS here cause I have Mad cow disease (what I call my menopause)

as for the boards and this election... yes we have all lost our inner peace and this election has turned many good people into raving lunatics...including me.

Hopefully a couple weeks after we can get back to discussing more things about Disney and our kids and helping each other instead of hurting each other.

But it seems like every benign fluff "Whaddya Think?" thread I open turns vicious within 10 posts. It can be amusing, but mostly I am puzzled as to what exactly is everybody so P O'd about? Does anyone else see this?
