Does Everyone Need to be Present to Redeem GAD FPs, or do I just need to have everybody's tickets?

Details:
My plan is to redeem GAD FPs at DHS and Epcot around 3 or 4 in the afternoon on days when we're starting the day at other parks, but staying until closing at these.

The complication is that my 7-months pregnant wife and 3-year old should be back in the room napping midday...and we've learned the hard way to never wake our sleeping baby (not quite a baby anymore, but the logic still applies).

The rest of my travelling party (six other family members) might be ready to get into the parks somewhat earlier than that. In that case, could I go to the window with all the tickets (including my wife's and toddler's) with the larger/older group to get all the GAD FPs?

I would then meet my wife and daughter at the park entrance with their park tickets to get them in when they were ready.

P.S., I know about the 11 AM clause, and the stated limit of six per voucher. We'll attempt to redeem early in the trip in case this is an issue.

Technically, you are required to have everyone present. Some people have reported that they have just handed over the tickets for everyone in their group and the CM did not require everyone to be standing there. I think in those cases, people were nearby and it's possible the CM saw them all approaching. I'm not sure anyone has tried to get FPs when everyone was not within shouting distance. You may be helped by a CM who is fine with you handing over the tickets, but you also might have a CM who wants to see everyone. I know that is not much help, but the CMs are able to require that everyone be physically present at the time of redemption.

Since you have more than six people in your group, it might require a manager's override to give you more than 6 FP cards. In that case, they may very well want to see everyone since they would be making an exception for your group.

It helps...thanks

Seven of the nine of us would be there when I went to the window, so we'll look like a big crowd....I guess my question was do they vigilantly count heads before handing out the redemption cards, and the answer looks to be it depends on who's working that day.

:thumbsup2 Yup. Your mileage may vary. Someone posted that a CM refused to give him more than 6 FP cards even though they had more in their party, but many people have gotten as many FP cards as they have people. Just depends on the interpretation of the CM that day - same thing with having everyone's tickets vs. having everyone present.

I'm back from my trip.

They didn't diligently count heads, but they did require all the adults to have signed tickets, so the whole party had to come over to the window at that point (My sister, BIL, and niece hadn't signed theirs). If the tickets had been signed, then I'm pretty sure there would not have been any other verification.

Just got in from our trip 3 days ago and had 3 gad to use which we used on the fast passes all 3 times. Only the person turning in the ticket needed to be present. Granted there were only 3 of us but I was able to walk up alone on the day when I turned in my voucher. The definitely did not need to see everyone or even ask about anyone but the person who had their name on the voucher.

P.S.

they worked out amazing.

just a quick question...were the fastpasses good for your entire visit or just 1 theme park?

I have 3 children who volunteered. When redeeming their voulchers, do I have to show their gift certificate and have them present at the counter as well?

Answered in the separate thread.

I redeemed a GAD voucher for my 15 yr old grandson. Now he was standing nearby, so maybe the CM saw him, but I handed her his voucher and birth certificate and she never said anything.

We were getting the figurine. It may have been different if we were exchanging the voucher for anything else.
