does everyone in party have to buy park passes to get ddp?

O.k we are travelling with my husband who will be at disney on business. We are going to buy 4 day passes for the kids and I for the parks and I wanna buy the dining plan. We will buy the dining plan for all of us and park passes just for 3 of us...will they let me do that or do I also have to buy a park pass for my husband for a day to get the dining plan????
Also do I have to do this right through Disney or can I purchase the park passes and then purchase the meal plan when we get there....just have it added? Help

you have to buy at least 1 day base ticket for the plan for each person in party.Would do that for everone aas you have to get same days for everyone then just upgrade yours and kids tickets at custermer relations.As long as you book more than 48 hours you can do ddp with a ta.Dining plan can not be added at check in

There are two ways to get the dining package

1) Purchase a package from Disney or AAA and pay their highest rate, which includes tickets for at least one day and buy the DDP for all guests staying with you. All guests have to have the same ticket purchased.

2) Stay at a DVC resort on points and purchase the DDP for all guests staying with you. No ticket purchase required.

So----

If you are getting your room via the business and not with a package, you cannot get the dining package.

You can buy a one day pass for everyone and then just upgrade the passes for the 3 of you when you check in.

Are you getting a special convention rate on your room? Check, you might not even be able to purchase dining.
