Does DVC typically change res from VWL to CC?

We are supposed to check in to Boulder Ridge today and as of this morning the app confirmed that. Just looked and now it’s saying Copper Creek. Is this typical? We were hoping to finally stay at our home resort for the first time since buying the contract but think now we may have been moved.

Yah I know, newer may ultimately be better but not what we had planned when booking this trip.

Not typical, usually means there is a problem with the room, heat, plumbing...

I'd give them a call to find out what happened as it is not typical for them to change resorts without notifying you as to the reason. Did you put in a waitlist that you may have forgotten about or didn't cancel after you got what you wanted? I have heard of others doing that!

Nope, nothing on our end. The desk guy just told us upon check in that they had an oversold situation. Not sure how common that is and to be quite honest it wasn’t a big enough deal that I felt the need to press on it.

With my family, if I booked BRV and got CC, I'd be totally annoyed - because I want the extra murphy bed that CCV doesn't have!

I think I read of a cash reservation that had the same thing happen. The cynical side of me finds it interesting that with CCV in current sales that suddenly people are being moved there from VWL (BRV). Couldn't be that they are using it as a sales technique is it? It's not like in the past there's been a lot of check in's for VWL that suddenly ended up with no room or being moved to another resort or at least not that we heard of.
