Does DVC send a waitlist Confirmation email?

I created a waitlist request for a September trip. I have a confirmation number and it shows in My Dashboard, but I didn't receive a confirmation email. Does DVC send an email to confirm the waitlist request? Or perhaps just when the waitlist is fulfilled?

i haven't gotten one when i made the waitlist or when the waitlist was filled.

a few months ago, I logged on to see BOTH my value studio waitlists had been filled. 5 nights each for the same dates.

That’s like winning the lottery! How many months out did you join the waitlist?

I don’t think I received an email when I created the waitlist. When my waitlist was fulfilled, I received an email cancelling my original reservation. I freaked out and called MS. As I was on hold, I logged in and saw on the dashboard that my waitlisted resort was showing as a confirmed reservation. It all started to click in my brain. When I got connected to MS, the CM said the cancellation email is sent before the email confirming the waitlist fulfillment. Eventually that email came through. Phew.

I didnt get a notice that i was added to the waitlist, but i did get a notification when my reservation was confirmed. I did a replacement waitlist (cancel existing booking if/when waitlist filled) and they sent the cancellation first which freaked me out, but then I logged in and saw that the waitlist filled lol. The confirmation came a couple hours later.

No email when it is created. You will get a one when or if it fills. And, they know send a cancelation email first sometimes when they are filling it which can freak you out…

I really don't remember, but I think it was right @ the 11 month mark. I booked 2 standard studios @ Jambo House and waitlisted for the value studios.

I have one right now (unfulfilled), but last year around this time I had one successfully fulfilled and I did receive a confirmation email.

I play with a lot of waitlists, and yes, it does email when it fills one. I have a special alert on my phone for it. It doesn't send an email when you set a waitlist.

Sometimes it comes days after the reservation is actually made. You might be able to see the reservation and get the email later.
