This may seem ridiculous, but DH thinks that since we pay property taxes as DVC members, we should be able to qualify as FL residents for ticket purchasing purposes. I think that there is no chance. Does anyone have a definitive answer so that I can show this to him and he can stop asking me about it???:confused3

No. Residency is usually determined by where you make your permanent residence evidenced by voter registration, driver license or state ID, homestead property tax exemption and the like.

Disney can set its own standards for discounts and special programs but generally follows the above.

Disney's requirements

Proof of Florida Residency
Proof of Florida residency is required—you must provide any of the following:

•Florida driver′s license
•Florida state-issued ID card (must have Florida address)
•Florida voter′s registration card with corresponding picture ID
•A college ID for a Florida college
•Florida-based military ID

Plus our DVC documents point out that DVC ownership does not mean you can be considered a FL resident.

Thanks JimC and Deb and Bill!!!

I can finally put this issue to bed!!!

You would think that as a lawyer, I would have read through the fine print of my DVC contract!!!!:rotfl:

Keep your Public Offering Statement handy as it will answer all sorts of questions for you.
