if not.

what suggestions would you have for sleeping arangements for 2 kids that won't sleep on the sofa bed together in a 1 bdrm. We don't really want to pack an air mattress since we are flying.

thanks !!

ps...kids are 8 and 11

No cots or rollaways are available at DVC resorts.

You will need to provide an airmettress or sleeping bag.

Depending upon the sofa style in your room, you may be able to put the sofa cushoins on the floor for one to sleep upon...however, most of the newer style sofas do not have removable cushions.

Addtional sheets and bed linens will not be provided.

Assuming you do not want to book a 2 bedroom or let the kids have the king bed, your only option is to bring your own air mattress/aero bed or similar.

You may want to consider utilizing the service provided by Owner's Locker. That way, you'd only have to bring the extra bedding once (or you could buy it once you arrive in Orlando).

However, once the new AKV Kidani Bldg opens, the one bedrooms will have a fold-out sleep to accomodate not having two people in the fold out sofa. This is in the non-Value units..."Value" 1 bedrooms will not have the sleep chair.

We end up taking an air mattress about every other trip and have a rolling duffle bag with that and the sheets for it that makes it no big deal to take on the plane. In fact there is usually extra room in it so we have room for those extras we usually have on the way home. We also had one that had a zipper compartment on the bottom that the mattress and sheets fit in and then the clothes for that child went into the larger upper section. We also invested in a cheap electric pump for it that doesn't take up much space either.

I suggest using an air mattress. We brought one for our son when he had to sleep with his grandfather in the living room. It worked out well. Disney doesn't mind as long as one is not room stuffing, that is putting more people in than designed.

We have the same problem and so DH & DS take the pull-out and DD and I take the bed.

If you don't want a full air mattress, an inflatable camping pad might be a good option. Kids can sleep on such a thing much easier than adults can - and they are small enough to pack. Create a "bed" by packing your own sheet, folded in half and sewn shut on two sides (you can buy these as "hostel sheets" - then just throw an extra blanket over the top. While DVC won't provide "extra bedding" we've usually found an extra blanket around.

On our last visit to BWV we requested an Aero bed because DD 15 did not want her brother sleeping on the fold out sleeper. I think it was $10 for the weekend but they do have them. Just ask!!

I'd just ask which kid would want to stay home instead of going to WDW. Either that, or they are going to share a bed.

Our cot with an airmattress on top came with its own bag so we just check that as one of our pieces of luggage. It is actually comfortable and with ME I don't have to lug it around. I asked about this on my tour last Oct and was told I would need to bring my own. I am very excited about AKV and the chair bed. I would actually like one of those for my own home when my Nephew spends the night.
